SEPT RACE CANCELLED

After today’s meeting I want to inform everyone what is happening
There is a by law and the county of Brant which does not allow the operation of a motorized vehicle for the purpose of recreation for any longer than five minutes.
This by law affects all the events at the Paris Fairgrounds.
We have asked to have the county to change the by-law. The county has asked for the Fairgrounds to submit a formal proposal for the changing of this by law for the Fairground property. The changing of the bylaw cannot take effect until after another meeting. The next meeting is in October at which time we hope the signing will take place.
The county agrees that the Fairgrounds are a viable business in the county and that the bylaw must be changed for them to carry on. Please be assured that the bylaw will be changed so racing can resume next season.
At this time there is not enough days left for racers to prepare if the signing was done the first of October.
Once this by-the law has been changed there will be no one that can complain about the noise or racing at the Paris Raceway.
Lucas Oil OffRoad Racing wants the best for the series and the racers we do not want to do anything that may jeopardize next season. This is why we have decided not to apply for a temporary permit to race. We hope all racers and fans will understand that the long-term is more important than racing today. Thanks for understanding where we’re coming from and why we have had to cancel our last race.
On a good note ,today we are started in talks with other sponsors to help with the series. We believe the next season will be a great race season for racers and fans at the Paris Raceway.
